Refund Policy

1. Overview

At The Pasta Prophet, we take pride in the quality of our pasta. Due to the perishable nature of our products, we have a limited refund policy, in line with Australian Consumer Law. By purchasing from us, you agree to the terms outlined below.

 

2. Change of Mind

We do not offer refunds or exchanges for change of mind, including but not limited to:

  • Ordering the wrong product

  • Ordering too much or too little

  • No longer wanting the product after delivery

  • Failure to follow storage or cooking instruction

3. Perishable Goods

Our products are sold as fresh and/or frozen food items and must be handled correctly upon receipt.

We cannot offer refunds or replacements for:

  • Products that were left unattended after delivery

  • Products that were not stored according to provided instructions

  • Spoilage due to delayed receipt or incorrect handling

4. When You Are Entitled to a Refund or Replacement

Under Australian Consumer Law, you are entitled to a refund, replacement, or other remedy if a product:

  • Is unsafe to consume

  • Is faulty or contaminated

  • Is significantly different from its description

  • Does not meet acceptable quality standards

Where appropriate, we will offer a replacement, refund, or store credit, at our discretion and as permitted by law.

5. Damaged or Incorrect Orders

If your order arrives:

  • Damaged

  • Missing items

  • Incorrect

You must notify us within 24 hours of delivery.

Please include:

  • Your order number

  • A clear description of the issue

  • Photos of the product and packaging where possible

Failure to report issues within this timeframe may affect our ability to assist.

6. Delivery Issues

We are not responsible for:

  • Delays caused by third-party couriers

  • Failed deliveries due to incorrect address details

  • Orders left unattended at the delivery address

Refunds or replacements for delivery issues are assessed on a case-by-case basis.

7. Refund Processing

  • Approved refunds will be processed back to the original payment method.

  • Refunds may take 5–10 business days to appear, depending on your payment provider.

  • Delivery fees are non-refundable, except where required by law.

8. Business (Wholesale) Orders

For business or wholesale orders:

  • Refunds are only available where required under Australian Consumer Law.

  • We do not accept returns for excess stock, change of mind, or unused products.

  • Any issues must be reported within 24 hours of delivery.
